Oh, the start of another week- alone!

Yep, the hubby has been called out to another fire. I am definitely hoping that it's less than 2 weeks this time around, but of course, we never know.

Here are a few updates:

*It's almost birthday month- October to be exact. Birthday celebrations are happening next weekend. My dear friend Megs, and her mom are throwing me a tea party on Saturday, October 4th. I cannot even begin to say how excited I am as I LOVE tea parties. The day after, the 5th, is Hunter's 21st birthday. The following weekend is another birthday party for me, followed by my actual birthday, the 14th. 26. That's how old I'll be.

*The dogs are behaving much better!! Yesterday, we had no fights at all. Our bahaviorist must really be working. At least she better be with the amount of money we are spending. However, dogs that get along well= priceless!

*I slept this past weekend. Yay me! I felt they were really well deserved since I was beginning to get sick, and I couldn't have that happen.

*I am at a lack of further updates, so til next time.

We got the letter that said we'll get the call that we've been waiting for.

All I Want...

Is to be taken care of at this moment.
I haven't ben feeling well. Not since last Thursday.
I still don't feel 100% today, and it's already Tuesday.
I really want the hubby to come home. Or at the very least to give me a call.
I'm miserable. My body is achy, and I'm longing for some sort of comfort.

Life is GRAND- though sometimes my needs aren't met.

Bummer Sunday!

Asides from still having my killer migraine- which I've had since last Thursday, the hubby got called out to a fire. Thus, leaving me and the boys at home, alone for a maximum of 2 weeks. Hopefully it's shorter than the 2 weeks. Of course, being the sissy that I am, I cried over this. I've gotten used to having him at home, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I can't bear the thought of not sleeping next to him at night, or waking up without him, but alas, here I am.
I just hope that the next few days go by really quickly so that my heart will once again be at peace- and of course extremely ecstatic.

Life is GRAND- except it just threw a curveball at me.

baking adventures

Whenever the hubby's crew is home, someone is responsible for lunch on Sundays. This past Sunday just happened to be the hubby's turn. He decided he would make pizzas- so we bought tons of dough from Trader Joe's and a bunch of different things for toppings. He also asked me to make a cake. I had to make a sheet cake- my very first one. Here's the result...

Here's the close up of the logo. All hand piped. Definitely took me hours, and left me with a cramped hand.


I also decided to be nice and threw in some sugar cookies.



They both got rave reviews! I hear that everyone loved it.
